"You know, Detroit gets a bad rap, sure we got crime, blight, some political corruption, but what big city doesn’t. What make’s a city is the people that live there, and there is really no better place to see the people of Detroit then to spend a Saturday at Detroit’s Eastern Market, Michigan’s largest farmer’s market. People of all sorts shop side by side in the open air stalls or wander thought many specialty shops dragging their carts, bags and kids, Buskers work the corners for change. It is almost like spending a day at a carnival.
