The Manistee River.
The Manistee river flows from its headwaters in Antrim County , slowly bends and twist its way 200 miles west to Lake Michigan.
The Manistee is a delight to canoe, its slow and steady currents carry you though some of Michigan's most beautiful landscapes.
The Manistee is home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. As you quietly make your way down the river, it’s not uncommon to see white tail deer along the river banks or turtles sunning themselves on the many logs that stick out of the river.
I my humble opinion the Manistee is one Michigan's most beautiful rivers.
