Northport, Michigan
Located on Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula, on Grand Traverse Bay. It's location on the first good harbor made Northport a important port in the early 1850's. Click Here for some history on Northport.
Northport is wonderful example of a "up north" town. Quiet and layed back, it's a great place spend a few days during the summer.
If you ever get up to Northport, please take some time to visit the Grand Traverse Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located on the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula in the Leelanau State Park.
